My Story

Deb Olejownik

My name is Debra Olejownik. I am a Certified Practitioner of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, MBTI®. In addition, I am a Certified Professional Coach (CPC); I studied and trained under Jenn Wenzke, CPC and Master Practitioner of MBTI® for So Now Coaching.

My mission is to bring fun, passion, empowerment, and engagement to individuals, teams, leaders and their staff. My purpose is to help clients see, feel, and think about changes in their self-awareness, shift thinking to create effective actions, and help clients shift their emotional state to one that inspires confidence. My passion is to add intentional value to others in such a way that it creates growth within their core values.

Programs are designed to bring new perspectives by providing coaching, training, and education. Getting to the HEART of the matter helps people work better together and will enhance personal and professional relationships

As a former administrative professional, I had my fair share of days where I caught myself saying, “It must be a Full Moon!” You know those days; they are similar to “Murphy’s Law” where everything that can go wrong will go wrong. For example, staff falls apart under pressure, deadlines change, equipment breaks, budgets change, and the list goes on. I have worked with executives who under-utilized my skills and honestly had no idea of my full potential. I was often invisible or went unnoticed until disaster hit, and then they called me to "save the day." Some of those jobs caused me to question my real contribution to the organization.

At the same time, I had the privilege to work with a few true leaders, those who believed in their own cause and empowered me to do the same. The scarcity of true leaders all have one thing in common, they are passionate about empowering people, and they understand the benefits of building relationships.

Because of my organizational experiences, I am the successful owner of DJC Core Consulting, LLC.

My areas of expertise include:

  • Stress/burnout at the manager level (how to recognize it in employees and what to do about it) and at the employee level (taking accountability for one’s own health and career)

  • Communication and relationships – understanding your colleagues and/or employees and how to better work together and motivate each other incorporating MBTI® assessment tool and the Communication 101 Model

  • Learning to make conflict work (not from sales perspective, but again from a colleague/employee perspective) whether conflict is one to one or in a team setting

  • Leadership at the professional level is about development to enhance career opportunities and relationships. Fundamental to this role is trust. At the personal level, leaders are great explorers of human nature. A leader's confidence in their faith in life is essential, additionally; they always look for valuable lessons to learn from life

  • Myers-Briggs Type Indicator MBTI® Step I and Step II Instrument. Type can be introduced into an organization to support many functions and situations including managing people, development of leadership skills, conflict resolution…making decisions, and cope with change in the workplace.

I am an advocate of community outreach. I am the Helping Hands committee chairperson for So Now Professional Network of Women; as chairperson, my team supports nonprofit organizations focused on women and girls.

Additionally, I am the project coordinator for a community outreach project between Davis College and Westgate Toastmasters. The project helps Davis students improve their public speaking skills. Community outreach is essential to DJC Core Consulting and Coaching with H E A R T© because it is a wonderful way to give back time and talent to organizations in need.
